Petra Top Five

I had big plans for a Petra slide show set to music, but time & technical difficulties have stumped me. Plus, you'd really have to be a card carrying member of the Snyder Thompson fan club to want to watch an 8 minute slide show of just us and a bunch of rocks.

That said, I've chosen my Top Five Favorite snaps of Us + Petra. We spent two days in Petra and our time can be characterized by the following three words: Sand, Rocks & Stairs. It was pretty much like I Stair-Mastered for four hours two days in a row. And I probably had (no joke) about 3 tablespoons of red sand INSIDE MY SOCKS at the end of each day. But we had so much fun. Taking the time to really hike around Petra is totally worth it (rather than a hit-and-run tourist stop which is pretty normal). It was our favorite thing in Jordan so far.

At the Monastery (Al-Deir) - a one hour stair hike

At the High Place of Sacrifice - a 45 minute stair hike

Again at High Place of Sacrifice

Beautiful stone formation in Wadi Farasa - after hiking down from the High Place of Sacrifice

Above the Treasury - another 45 minute stair hike

  1. nice to see the tibs are still doing well, especially in that pic that's second from the bottom.
