Imam Sadr Foundation

Last Tuesday, we started by visiting the Imam Sadr Foundation, located in Tyre (Southern Lebanon). The Foundation runs many community development projects, including schools ranging from Kindergarten through Vocational. They work with disadvantaged families, and also have an orphanage on campus for any of their students who do not have homes to return to. The Foundation also has a mobile clinic, a milk processing facility and an amazing kitchen where they train in baking and pastry making (the products are sold to hotels). It was a really incredible visit. Below are some pictures of the school - the first is the music therapy classroom. Further down is a picture of the milk facility. They have a huge campus with several buildings for the different ages and types of programs.  We really enjoyed this visit - the family that runs the foundation are Iranian and it was great to see the impact they are making in their community in Lebanon.
