On Sunday after our lunchtime feast, we headed into the hills to visit Jeita Grotto. It is (evidently) Lebanon's most prized tourist site and is in the running to be one of the New 7 Wonders of the Natural World. You have to take a little gondola ride up the hill to get to the entrance. Unfortunately that is the only thing I have pictures of, because after that you are banned from photography. However, you can view their website here and probably Google lots of stock photos of Jeita Grotto. It was pretty incredible. My favorite part was the boat ride in the lower grotto. I felt like I was on a ride at Disneyland - except no Animatronics.
