Legos Meets Philosophy, or My Husband is a Nerd: How One Man Chose To Spend His Free Time at Retreat

Decades of MCC service workers have come and gone from Jordan since the 60's. Some of them had children, as evidenced by the large tub of Legos inhabiting the Director's apartment (origins disputed). Cindy had the brilliant idea of bringing it to the retreat as a free time activity, thinking that perhaps some of our adults still had small living inner children in them somewhere. And no one's small living inner child was more excited about the Legos than my husband's. He spent the vast majority of our free time creating two philosophical masterpieces.

His first piece: "Interfaith Dialogue".

As you can see, Harry Potter has the floor.

Ever inclusive, Ryan gave Snape a place at the table as well.

Ryan's second piece: "Cartesian Dualism".

This one he shared at the Variety Show on our last night.

So proud. So nerdy.
