Regional Retreat in Amman

Two days after we returned from Lebanon, we gathered with other MCC workers from the region for a retreat just outside of Amman. The MCC Amman office oversees the programs of four countries close by, and it was really fun and encouraging to meet many of the people we are connected to. 19 adults and 1 baby had lots of fun together for 3 days (we did serious things too, but why take pictures of strategic planning meetings?). Here's some of what we did.

Dutch Blitz!

Jigsaw Puzzling!

Variety Show!  This is our wonderful colleague, Suzi, demonstrating her smooth dancing skills.

We also took a field trip to Umm al Rasas, watched movies (Temple Grandin being a highlight), played 4 On a Couch, ate lots of junk food and of course, did some business (i.e. discussed regional issues, heard updates from each country, learned how to encourage one another, etc...).  It was a very meaningful time and we're looking forward to next September when we're all together again.
